Every Voice, One Vision: A Listening Tour Update
September 16, 2025
By Brooke Barnett
In this message to alumni, President Barnett reflects on her first months leading Rollins and getting to know the community.
As I continue my Every Voice, One Vision listening tour, I’ve had the joy of hearing from so many of you—alumni who carry Rollins in your hearts and stories. From thoughtful reflections to spirited critiques, your voices are shaping how I understand and lead this remarkable college.
Tom and I have felt deeply welcomed into the Rollins community. Whether it’s the warmth of move-in day, the energy of orientation, or the quiet beauty of campus walks, we’ve experienced firsthand what makes this place special. And yes, the incoming class is impressive—bright, curious, and ready to make their mark.
What’s come through loud and clear in your feedback is the power of relationships. You’ve shared how faculty and staff went above and beyond, how small classes led to big ideas, and how Rollins helped you grow into who you are today. Many of you spoke of lifelong friendships, transformative experiences, and a sense of belonging that never faded.
We’re building on that legacy. With passionate alumni, dedicated faculty and staff, and students eager to learn and lead, Rollins is poised for even greater success.
Now, here’s my new question for you: When someone asks why they should consider Rollins, what do you say? Share your response here.
Warmly,
Brooke
